Turquoise Beaded Necklace

There's something about this pendant that stopped me mid-bench. The texture came from a plate I etched myself and ran through the rolling mill with silver sheet- all those little circles pressing into the silver, catching the light differently depending on how it moves. It reminded me of looking down into a tide pool. 

The pendant is a sterling silver hollow form, which means it has dimension and presence without the weight. I gave it a patina to pull the texture forward - those dark recesses against the bright silver edges are what make it feel alive. It hangs from a strand of natural turquoise beads in the most honest shade of pale sage green, with just enough variation in each bead to remind you they came from the earth.

This is the first piece in my upcoming turquoise collection, and it's one of a kind.

Length: The necklace is approximately 20.5 inches. The lobster clasp will work on any loop in the end chain so the necklace can be shortened a little if needed.
