Metalsmithing classes are held in the School House at  the Cotuit Center For the Arts

I do offer private lessons held at the Cotuit Center For the Arts. The cost is $280 for 4 hours. If you are interested in a private lesson please contact me so we can work out possible dates.

 

INTRO TO JEWELRY MAKING

Intro to jewelry workshop is designed for the jeweler just starting out in the world of metalsmithing, this is a one-day workshop designed for beginners or anyone looking to make their own jewelry.

In this comprehensive workshop, you'll have the opportunity to dive into various techniques and explore the world of jewelry fabrication. Perfect for the beginner student as a starting point before taking our 6 week metalsmithing class. 

Techniques Covered: Throughout the workshop, you'll learn a variety of techniques such as sawing, torch fabrication, forming applications, creating textures, finishing, and polishing. These essential techniques are basic foundation skills for jewelry making and will allow you to create quality pieces that you can wear home!

Project Options: As a beginner, you'll have the opportunity to choose from several exciting project options. You can create a stacking ring set, a bangle bracelet set, or earrings using the skills you learn throughout the workshop. Additionally, you can explore the world of torch enamel and create beautiful enamel earrings or a pendant. If you are an avid beach stone collector, you can bring your stones to create unique and fun beach stone pendants.

Class runs from 11am to 6 pm at the School House building at the Cotuit Center for the arts.

INTERMEDIATE METALSMITHING CLASS

May 17th - June 7th

4 weeks

5:30-8:30 Friday nights

Students can choose from projects that include bezel setting, tube setting, flush setting. Students must be at an intermediate level, familiar with soldering, sawing, forming and finishing/polishing

BEGGINERS METALSMITHING CLASS

In this class students dive into the world of jewelry making and learn basic metalsmithing skill while creating stacking rings, bangles and earrings.

May 16th - June 20th

6 weeks Thursday nights 5:30-8:30
