Some stones just glow from the inside, and this one does it even on a gray morning.
This citrine came from Namibia, and it’s cut as a high dome teardrop, so when the light hits it you get that warm honey color rolling right through the center. I couldn’t stop tilting it under my bench lamp. It needed a setting that would let it sit up tall and show off.
I set the citrine in a fine silver bezel with a sand textured frame around the teardrop. The ring band is dome and has a nice organic pebble texture. A deep patina settles into all that texture so the citrine is the brightest thing on your hand.
It’s a ring with some weight to it, the kind you notice you’re wearing and keep looking down at.
