Sand Casting Tutorial
When I started learning how to sand cast, I thought this is just too fun! Mostly I enjoy casting found objects like old buttons, keys or nature elements like twigs and shells. I put together a little video with a pdf file of the tools needed and where to purchase them.
The video is approximately 50 mins long.
This tutorial is TECHNIQUE based. I do not demonstrate or show how to make jewelry with the cast object.
In the video I demonstrate:
- How I set up the mold for three different found objects.
- The melting and pouring process.
- tools needed for the casting process.
There is a pdf included with the video tutorial. The pdf file has a list of tools and supplies with live links where to purchase them. You can download the pdf file and print it out.
