Rings are where I lose track of time. I sit down to make one and look up several hours later with four on the bench. This is one of seven turquoise rings for the collection, and I couldn't stop making them.

This stone is Emerald Valley turquoise from Nevada, a mine known for deep forest greens with soft mottling all through the surface. It sits in a bezel at the center of a small concave disc, textured with my sand finish so the light bounces around the stone in a soft halo. The wide band is half an inch across,  comfortable to wear even at that width. Patina finish on the whole piece, which lets the shadows settle into the sand texture and pulls the green forward.

The setting sits up about an inch across on your finger. Substantial, but the concave disc keeps it from feeling heavy.
