Every time a round turquoise lands on my bench, this design comes back to me. I first worked it out years ago and it has held up. A square silver frame, a round stone inside it, that small tension between two shapes that don't quite belong to each other but somehow work.

The band is where I let myself have fun. Thick silver sheet and wire were stacked together to create the ring shank. The stone is Emerald Valley turquoise from Nevada, a deep forest green. Bezel set on top of a square base, patina finish everywhere so the shadows settle into the textures and let the green come forward.
