Emerald Valley Turquoise Ring in Sterling Silver, Size 8.25

Bright green, almost neon at the surface, with a warm brown patch of host rock running through the middle. That was the first thing I noticed about this stone. The kind of green that looks lit from behind.
I set it in a round bezel that sits up off the finger, then built the band to taper down underneath the stone setting. That taper matters. It keeps the ring from feeling top heavy and it puts all the visual weight on the stone where it belongs. The shank itself has both my sand and line textures, so when you look at the side you get the fine parallel lines running the length of the band with the softer sand texture. Small choices, but they add up.
Emerald Valley turquoise comes from Nevada, and the mine is known for its deep forest and grass greens with warm matrix.
