This one caught my eye because of the color. Most beach stones lean gray or tan but this one is a deep reddish brown, warm and a little unexpected, like finding something from somewhere else entirely on a New England beach.

I set it in sterling silver with a rope-textured band and an oxidized patina that frames the stone without competing with it. The bezel sits up just enough to give the stone its own moment.

It's small but it has a lot to say.
