VIDEO TUTORIAL ON SURFACE TEXTURING FOR JEWELRY

I have always loved textures of all kinds. Using texture in your jewelry creations is a great way to add visual interest or focal points.  Texture can create contrast within your design or help give balance to you piece.  In this video tutorial I explain and demonstrate how I create texture for my jewelry creations.  You will see demonstrations using hand files, hand stamps, hammers and how I create my own texturing plates to then use in the rolling mill. Below you will find a list of techniques and tools that I use throughout the video and suggestions on where to purchase them.

An intermediate level of metalsmithing is required for this tutorial. The video is approximately 33 minutes long.

This is a technique based and instructional tutorial where I show various ways to create original and organic  textures in your work. I do not create a finished jewelry piece. I also explain how I create texturing plates to use in the the rolling mill. When making texturing templates for the rolling mill, I always recommend making a small sample plates first.

After placing your purchase you will have access to the video.
