Small Beach Stone Pendant with Brown Suede Cord

This stone is small and round with a naturally flat top — the kind I am always looking for. It reminded me right away of a little purse, and the triangular end cap leaned into that completely.

The cap is hand fabricated sterling silver with a line texture and an oxidized patina that settles into all the detail work. A tube grommet sits at the center, riveted through the stone to secure the cap. The triangular shape gives this one a slightly more graphic, architectural feel than a rounded cap would.

The stone is exactly as I found it on a Cape Cod beach. I never alter the shape.

The suede cord is knotted to the bail and the hook clasp is handmade — forged sterling silver, riveted to the cord.
